Stratovarius(靈云樂隊(duì))成立于1984年，由三個(gè)來自芬蘭赫爾辛基的三個(gè)年輕人組成，他們分別是鼓手兼主唱Tuomo Lassila，貝斯John Vihervaauml以及吉他手Staffan Straaringahlman。在他們正式取名為Stratovarius之前這三人以Black Water的名字對(duì)外演出。
