毫無疑問，尤其是在現(xiàn)代社會里，財富帶來幸福。各種現(xiàn)代化的家用電器、時裝和娛樂層出不穹、日新月異。這一切使我們的生活更為舒適、豐富多彩。因此，沒有金錢，我們就無法把羨慕變成現(xiàn)實。
但是當(dāng)財富脫離了幸福，就會產(chǎn)生各種例外。財富可以促使意志薄弱者養(yǎng)成惡習(xí)，如吸毒或賭博，并導(dǎo)致他們自身的毀滅。此外，如果一個人一心追求財富并沉溺于奢侈的生活，他就會失去理智、誤入岐途。例如，甚至還有一些政府官員利用他們的職位向求助者索賄。所有這些都會產(chǎn)生財富的負面效應(yīng)，如果我們不能正確對待財富的話。
